RAIN... will it ever end.

July 2nd.... and only 8 weeks left of summer... WHAT THE HECK?
I did ride Angel yesterday... and thank Mindy for showing up and giving me the motivation to do so, as it has been WEEKS since I last rode him.
He went well. I am hoping to have someone take pictures of our progress to compare the before and afters. I have been DYING to get the horses to HEP to school over the cross country course... but we know why that hasnt happened YET.

I have to be honest and say that motivation is lacking these days. The list gets longer and longer of things to do during the day and I get more and more depresses to not have accomplished anything as days march on. How about planing things? NOPE. How about putting a horsey event to go to on the calender? NOPE. How about painting the upstairs? NOPE. Bills? NOPE. Cleaning? NOPE. Orgainizing mounds of paperwork? NOPE.

WHAT GIVES?

Severe depression setting in or what? Do I need to be medicated or SLEEP in my tanning bed? I havent even found the time to consistently do that... and I have to cover up this BEAUTIFUL coloring I have acquired on my leg... that gravity is pulling down into my lower leg all blotchy like... mmmm NICE! But hey... no sun, no summer, no swimming... no cares.

NOW that Angel is better, I can get Jaimie to come and ride the shit out of him. Hoping she can fix his left lead issues... or ride him enough to balance him out. Fix me in the mean time so that I can follow up on what she has started for the week.

Charlie ~ i havent rode him since... MONDAY of last week, nor Baby before that. I suck! Simply sucking at the work ethic deal here. Lets talk more about that shall we? Work? Where? When? How much? What kind? How long?... just not interested to say the least.... that must be blamed on the sun also right? Whatever the case may be... I hope that it finds an end soon... I cannot take it anymore.... for my mental state and welfare... MUST SEE SUN & DO GOOD THINGS!

over n out.

YOU SAID IT FHOTD!

love it love it love it!
SO TRUE!
GOD! Who can say it better than her?
NOBODY!
enjoy ~ and I quote:
"For those who think I am too harsh on breeders like this, let me give you an analogy. Let's say you opened up your Sunday paper and there was a dealership with a Nissan for sale describing it as having a 12 cylinder engine, anti-latch brakes, a DC player and power storing. After you got done laughing, my guess is your first thought would be "what a bunch of idiots" and "how can they be in the car business if they don't know anything about cars?" That's my point. The horse business is a business and if you can't conduct it with the same level of professionalism and demonstrated knowledge of your product that we'd expect in any other business, you shouldn't be in it."
EXACTLY!

UPDATE ... on my leg.

Well its not looking any better... its a mass that is hard as a rock and painful to sit on. You dont sit on the back of your legs... or so you think until you have something like this amis.

So it is healing... it is itchy... it is colorful... and ouchy!

I have an appointment at 9 tomorrow to check it out with physical therapy. Someone told me that its better to be safe than sorry. I have also heard that it could take all summer to dissolve the black and blue... or yellow... and or may NEVER go away. So I would rather fare on the safe side and have it looked at. I was also told to massage it... OUCH! I have tried... it aches.

Charlie bastid! My fault tho... no its ok... its my fault. I have broad shoulders Charles...

This pic was taken the next nite....TUESDAY nite.

This picture was taken THURSDAY MORNING!

..... and this is right now... TUESDAY ....

...it still hurts .... especially when I touch it... the muscle area is still swollen.

Now I know why horses dash before the hooves fly!
Yowza!

Itsa MOOSE... a Maine Moose!

So while I was up to pasture taking pictures of my kids enjoying the fruit of the land.... a truck stops at the gate and calls for me. My friend Tom asked if I wanted to take pics of a moose.
Well SHA!
N here they are....

Hosses UPTA pasture ... ALL FOUR!

Had to make two trips to get them all there... kind of a pain... but it has been misting rain for days... and boredom takes over and they are not kind to the shading trees that stand. SO who cares if they get a little wet? They are usually ready by the time I go to fetch them in the late afternoon... sometimes they are shivering :)
HA!
But I dont have to chase them down to get the halters on they load themselves!
Kind of neat :)

So here are the boyz...
watching cows...
and touching noses...
and Charlie being all noble looking...
had to take pics of that :)
